1. Find and speak to Ivarr
Wesberie is along the road west of the Hill Gate Remnants. Ivarr and Ceolbert are waiting near the northeastern entrance of Wesberie in the place shown in the picture below.
You will find them on a hill in the forest from where they are watching the village. Approach them to start a conversation.
During the conversation you can choose how you want to proceed with the next move.
- I choose stealth. - You will be able to try to sneak into the hamlet to try and burn the huts. However, if detected, your companions will rush into battle.
- I choose an all-out attack. - All three of you will immediately run to the village to attack its residents.
2. Burn the cottages / Clear out the remaining forces
Set fire to subsequent buildings to fill the progress bar, you can use burning arrows or torches. Then kill the remaining enemy soldiers who are in the village.
3. Kill Ynyr and his men
When the progress bar is filled and you will kill enough enemy soldiers, Ynyr ap Cadfarch and some of his men will come to the village. You will have to get rid of them. Ynyr is not a boss, he is just an elite opponent.
After killing Ynyr ap Cadfarch you will receive his weapon - Cadfarch Spear.
4. Regroup with Ivarr and Ceolbert
Once the fight is over, talk to Ivarr and Ceolbert to talk about what you did. Ceolbert, to calm down a bit, decides to go fishing in the nearby pond. You will go with him.
5. Go fishing with Ceolbert
To fill the progress bar you have to catch (to be able to fish you must build a fisherman's hut in your settlement) or shoot from a bow and loot three fish.
6. Speak to Ivarr
When you're done fishing, talk to Ivarr, who you will find nearby. After a while Bishop Deorlaf will join you. No matter which dialog option you choose, the bishop will suggest that Ivarr should lay low, and you will agree with that, making Ivarr irritated.
When you next set up your camp, Lady Angharad will arrive at it with a proposal for you. She promises to withdraw their troops in exchange for an immediate cease of any hostile actions. You will agree to this.
7. Speak to Ceolbert
You must now find Ceolbert, which was not during the negotiations. First go to his tent and enter it. Then you will come to the conclusion that you should ask the nearby guards if they saw where Ceolbert went.
8. Speak to the guards near Ceolbert's tent / Get information from the sleeping guard
You can talk to a few people around, but all you have to do is talk to the guy next to the tent on the other side. He will tell you that his brother knows where Ceolbert went but he is very drunk and you will not be able to get that information out of him.
- (Charisma 3) How can I wake him? - you'll convince a man to tell you how to sober up his brother quickly - "Water will help the guard sober up" - so carry the drunken man to a nearby stream and put him there.
- I will wait. - you can wait (e.g. by meditating) but in this case it will also work if you carry the drunken man to a nearby stream, so do it.
Note: If you sober up a drunkard by carrying him to the stream, he will tell you a little more about where Ceolbert went and a marker will appear on your map. If you wait for him to sober up, there will be no marker.
9. Find and speak to Ceolbert
Ceolbert followed the stream south of Wesberie. Go to the place marked in the picture below and you will find the entrance to the cave there.
10. Search the cave for Ceolbert
Go inside and go forward until you reach the cave with three wolves.
In the same cave there is a large boulder that you have to move to get to the adjacent cave.
There you will find Ceolbert lying in a pool of blood.
When you examine him, you will notice that he was stabbed with a Briton dagger. Ceolbert will still be alive but will not be able to speak. You decide to take him back to the village.
11. Carry Ceolbert back to Wesberie
Come back is the exit from the cave more or less the same way you came here.
This time you will have to use the ramps and jump up at the right moment to get to the other side.
You can cover the whole way on foot, or you can call your horse after leaving the cave.
Soon after the arrival to the camp Ceolbert will die. It does not matter what you say to Ivarr, in the end you will show him the dagger you found and you will both decide to attack King Rhodri fortress. This will end this quest.
